President Donald Trump is heading back to Washington after a short NATO summit in the Netherlands.

He said he left with a more positive impression of the Alliance

than when he arrived. NATO leaders agreed to boost their defense spending targets to 5%

of GDP in a decade, up from the current target of 2%, which Trump had been demanding over the past

several years. Trump vowed to stand alongside the alliance, supporting its Article 5 pact, which says

an attack against one member is an attack against all.
