0:38.3	My name is Mackenzie Hansen and I'm a Euro major at the Center for European Studies.
0:43.3	Dr. Ingo Peters is currently a visiting scholar at the John Mene Center of Excellence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
0:51.3	He is teaching a course on transatlantic relations for the Transatlantic Masters program.
0:56.0	Prior to arriving at UNC, Dr. Peters was an associate professor and senior lecturer at Freya University Berlin
1:03.0	and the Executive Director of the Center for Transnational Relations, Foreign and Security Policy until September 2022.
1:10.0	He holds a PhD from the Freya University of Berlin and has taught and published on issues related to German foreign policy,
1:17.6	European and international security, transatlantic relations, and IR theory.
1:22.6	Dr. Peters had also been involved in EU Horizon 2020 research endeavors as a PI or member of the
1:29.8	advisory board. In addition, during his time at Freya, he had been the university's representative
1:35.7	to the European American University Consortium for the Euromasters since 1995 and for the Transatlantic
1:43.4	Master's Program since its beginning in 1996,
1:47.0	as well as other international master programs and university consortia.
1:51.8	We talk about it. We are talking about the Transatlantic Alliance in the first place.
1:56.6	And definitely if you have something on the agenda like the war of aggression of Russia against
2:02.9	the Ukraine, this is, you know, bringing us back to the very fundamentals of alliance theory
2:09.2	or the basic books on alliance policy making, you know.
