Reporters Roundtable. Coming to you this week, not from Washington, but from San Francisco

with three top California political reporters.

No matter where we are, of course, all eyes today are on Alaska for today's big summit,

just a few hours from now between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

Trump says Putin wants a deal, but how much of Ukraine is Trump willing to give away to get a deal?

And why isn't President Zelensky at the table here in California?

However, the big story is Governor Newsom's plan announced yesterday to, as he puts it,

fight fire with fire, redraw new congressional lines that would give California Democrats five new seats in Congress

to make up for the five new seats Republicans might gain in Texas.

But first, Newsom has to get approval of the majority of California voters next November,

which may not be that easy.

Meanwhile, since she decided not to run for governor, everybody, not just in California, but across the country's wondering,

what the hell is Kamala Harris going to do next?
