I got to tell you, I was driving around yesterday after the Nationals lost the Mets.

They were swept by the Mets. They actually had a little flurry in the ninth inning, but came up just short.

But they had gone 22 straight innings without a run cakes.

That's a long time.

I don't need to summon baseball cakes to know that that's not very good.

Well, as the original said, you don't need to be Branch Rickey to know.
