Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, here on the pre-signing day edition of the yard. I was going to record last night, but the phones wouldn't stop ringing.

Wanted to wait until we had as much up-to-date intel for you as we possibly could as you guys prepare for the opening of the December

signing period on Wednesday, December the 4th. We back tomorrow evening after we speak

with Coach Jeff Levy. That press conference is scheduled for around noon tomorrow.

And so we'll get back in the afternoon and kind of get settled and kind of bring

you guys up to speed on kind of what's happened there is a little intrigue as we get into

the final 20 hours or so before national sounding period begins.

I go back to, you know, I've been at this a long time,

been covered Mississippi State since 1997.

And, yeah, been covering recruiting, I guess, now for over 20 years.

But I go back to, there were so many people that felt like we needed to have an early signing period for football.

I was totally against it.

We actually ran the numbers on it and just basically found out that it really just

wasn't going to change much.

And it hasn't changed much except for the fact that we have people signing in December

instead of February.

And you really only eliminated, you know, really about three weeks worth of recruiting.

You know, so you didn't gain much in that respect.

What's interesting, too, kind of unbeknownst to many of you,

no in-home visits this year.

Oh, you didn't know?
