In this special episode of Transforming Trauma, the NARM Training Institute presents a summertime gift to Transforming Trauma listeners: the webinar NARM and Intergenerational Love. The class provides a window into the NARM Inner Circle learning community.
NARM creator Dr. Laurence Heller and NARM Senior Faculty Brad Kammer examine how intergenerational love interfaces with complex and intergenerational trauma. They discuss the importance of including love in the therapeutic process and reflect on how love plays a significant role in attachment, developmental and relational trauma.
In addition to exploring the meaning of intergenerational love, Larry and Brad touch on subjects like the paradox of trying to be loved, the relationship between love and hope, and how themes of intergenerational love make their way into clinical sessions.
Throughout the episode, self-reflective exercises support the listeners’ learning process.
