And I think my guest is Naomi Wolf, and her book is The Bodies of Others, the New Authoritarians, COVID-19, and the War Against the Human.

I think Naomi, what you were talking about just a moment ago, how this is dehumanizing, how wearing masks makes us less human.

Of all the things that took place in the last two years,

that's the one that I think genuinely outraged me,

made me really viscerally sick to see children.

On the Upper East Side, you know, quote unquote, playing outside,

wearing masks, little children.

And I thought, this is so sick.

And you start thinking, how stupid, how compliant are the parents that they allowed these little children to have to wear these masks?

Where is the humanity of the parents?

And when I saw these things, and you know this, all I could think of over and over and over again is Nazi Germany.

You say, how did these things happen?

How did people go along with this?

And then you say, oh, just as they're going along with it this minute.

Good people, many of whom are my friends, they are allowing this to happen.
