It is day 31 in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

Of course, she is the mother of today's show host Savannah Guthrie.

And for the first time in weeks, Sheriff Chris Nanos, he sat down with the Today Show and proclaimed that investigators are quote unquote definitely closer, assuming that means closer to finding a suspect

or suspects in this utterly bizarre case.

He told Savannah Guthrie's colleagues at the Today Show that the case can absolutely be solved.
