Hello and welcome to Bible Mysteries Mystery Mailbag. I'm Scott Mitchell, the host of Bible

mysteries podcast, along with my partner, John Potts. But we like to take this time to answer

questions, Bible questions that you've sent in. I've been doing my best to try to catch up.

Some of these go back as late as last year. So we're going to do our best to get you

caught up on the most recent emails.

We're very appreciative of all you that write us. I'm sorry that I can't always write you back

immediately. Oftentimes I do. And then I'll go ahead and read the email anyway, if they're not

personal, if we get permission to do it. But I'm just grateful for the requests that you send us, for the questions

that you have. And let's dive in. We're going to start with our first email question that came to us from

Shemika. And Shemika writes, could you explain a little more as to why evil ones don't know certain

things or when they find things out, rather. For example, in Matthew, when Jesus is

baptized, God says, this is my beloved son with whom I am pleased. Did Satan know only at this point

who Jesus was? Or did Satan know when Jesus was born of Mary that he would be the Savior and the one to destroy him.

Sorry, I'm a little confused.

Don't worry.

I get confused too, Shemika.

And a bit all over the place and overwhelmed with so much information.

But I think the Holy Spirit is telling me that while all of this is so interesting and fascinating,

my job is to trust in the Lord,

regardless of how biblical texts and stories could be interpreted.

And I would agree with that.

In other words, my understandings of what could or should be and other peoples do not change the fact that I believe God loves me, that I'm saved from whatever may be, and that so long
