| 0:52.9 | My number one tip is to keep your easy days easy. |
| 0:57.0 | I have got this wrong before, and it's led to injury, and it's led to injury and it's led to a decrease in performance on my hard workout days. |
| 1:09.0 | So my mouth and paste when fit is around six minutes per mile. |
| 1:13.4 | Yet I've been known to do my easy runs at eight minutes per mile or slower. |
| 1:16.9 | In fact, the only times I've ever had an injury during my running journey |
| 1:20.1 | is when I've decided foolishly to start trying to run my easy runs a little faster. |
| 1:25.3 | Whilst I wasn't trying to run them that fast, I can say that it felt a little forced and that is not what you want. |
| 1:31.5 | I've since become convinced that easy runs are a, well even more convinced, |
| 1:35.8 | the easy ones are a feeling, not a pace. It doesn't matter what the pace is, so long as they feel totally easy. |
| 1:41.7 | You should be out to have a conversation, you shouldn't feel like |
| 1:43.9 | you're forcing or pushing the pace at all. They should leave you refreshed and not fatigued. And you know, for some of us that |
| 1:50.3 | might be just a little bit slower than American basis for others. We might |
| 1:54.6 | have to want to get two to three minutes slower than American pace and that |
| 1:57.4 | varies day-to-day as well. Don't think that just because your easy day, one day is this, it should be that another day. |
