Good morning, everybody. The Simple Handicap for Tuesday, August 13th. Thank you for making me a part of your morning.

In this episode, we're going to be looking back at the last five episodes, and I'll give you my thoughts on the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, L.A. Chargers, Los Vegas Raiders, and Kansas City Chiefs. All of the AFC previews are done, except for Cincinnati. I've had no luck with anybody around the Bengals team. Very hard

to get through to anybody. And I'm also hitting a bit of a wall with scheduling some of these

interviews. Lots of reporters are traveling with the teams now coming back from road games.

They're at home preparing for upcoming games. Practices are all inconsistent.

So we've hit a bit of a dead spot here.

I have the recap episode today.

I'm going to do some awards tomorrow and then some props on Thursday as I catch up with some of these scheduled interviews that I already have and I'll be able to keep on going

with the teams.

But we'll have some more individual episodes mixed in and then some days we'll have double episodes with some of the teams. We'll get everything done by the end of August as usual. It may have been off more than I could chew for being honest, taking this on, but I'm working through it and I'll get it done, and everything will be posted here on the podcast feed. So bear with me at the times of episodes are a little bit different than they typically are. All right, let's get two. We'll start with the

Miami Dolphins. We had Michael Oliva on from Dolphins talk. Here's my thing with the Miami

Dolphins. I really don't have any concerns with the offense. I think what he said about the team

wanting to be more run heavy is accurate.

To some level of, some level of play, they have to be able to control the ball a little bit.

Now, of course, if you're scoring to play 68-yard touchdown drives all the time,

you're putting up 40 points, amazing.

But the one comment that stood out with me is the defense just has to be good enough and not give up 30 plus.

And I think that's the way that the dolphins are going to approach it.

And we're already in the preseason as well as the draft through OTAs.

McDaniel's really been talking about the run.

I don't think the dolphins are going to turn into a team that is significantly slower and way less pace and way less explosiveness.
