All right, I just got a little bit of disturbing news about my TED Talk that had nearly 1 million views, something I gave five years ago and it was a massive moment for me in London

real at the time. At the time there was one employee at London real that was me and

this was my big debut as a public speaker.

I really grew up as an introverted science geek

and I'd never been good at talking in front of audiences.

And at the time I thought, you know,

the founder of London Real needs a TED Talk so I pushed myself to do it I got really uncomfortable I worked on it for eight nine weeks

I memorized the talk I used to walk around the neighborhood here at night

reciting it over and over and over again to myself and I gave that talk at TEDx Clapham

which is you know a place right here inside London.

I think in January 2015.

And I think it aired about a month later

on the TEDx YouTube channel,

which has millions of subscribers, and it got up to a

million views and in the talk I I started off where I was at Richard Branson

chalet in Switzerland surrounded by all of my colleagues in banking and I was around the room and you know we

just got done helicopter skiing and some guys were in the hot tub and some guys

were popping Champagne and I looked around the room and I was like, wow, this is everything I thought I wanted.

You know, everything that my parents wanted for me, that my university wanted for me, and

everything that I'm sure the world thinks his success.

And I remember I got a text from someone at the time

in London and they said, how's the ski?
