Steel or tamper with my son's medication? All right, I'll bring down your entire pharmacy. This happened

in 2012. At the time, I, a 38-year-old female, and my son, 11, were on Vivance, an ADHD

medication. I'd been on this medication for maybe two years, not sure, but I didn't like that I

felt withdrawal symptoms at the end of each

day. Switched to Vivance and it's worked great for me ever since. My son had only been on it at this

point for, at most, a few weeks. So I started to notice that on certain days it didn't feel like I'd

had taken my pill at all. I was on 60 milligrams a day and my son was on 20. Now, my

son was adjusting and his behaviour and focus actually seemed worse at times. Eventually, I stopped

that medication because I realized it wasn't working for him, but that's not really relevant to this.

I began thinking, I was forgetting to take my pill. So I'd count the pills, and sometimes it might

seem like I was one short. However, I couldn't be sure as I might have filled that RX a day before

I was actually out. I asked my son how he felt taking his medication, and he felt conflicted for

multiple reasons. So one day, after asking this, he said, today I don't feel like I'm even on the medication.

So I inquired deeper and it seemed like we were both experiencing the same thing.

This med is in capsule form, so I decided I was going to start opening capsules to see if they

were filled to the same level.

Some capsules were full, some were filled halfway, and some even lower.

All these variations in both of our medications.

So I was confused, but I think, okay, maybe there's a reason for this.

I'm not naive at all, but I'm not jumping to conclusions.

So I decide I should go to my pharmacy and ask.

I get to the consultation window and the pharmacist is on the phone.
