Hi everybody this is Gatsad a few minutes ago I was alerted to a tweet by

Sam Harris let me read it for you so he writes publicly eating these words

dot dot dot syllable by syllable and the words that he's referring to is a

tweet that he put out on January 20th of this year where he says feeling

overwhelming gratitude for the adults in the room dot dot dot in reference to

bide and Harris having ascended to the highest offices in the land

uh... so on a surface level one could say, hey, that's great.

Sam is being contrite.

He's revisiting his former positions in light of new information.

But there's a bigger story here to be told.

Number one, the unmitigated disaster that is the current administration

is so great that Sam, who is someone who is very, very conscious of his image, would be playing

his cards well if he comes out showing, you know I'm willing to revisit my positions

well yeah sure because at this point it is so obvious that the current administration is utterly inept, if not suicidal, that it only

makes sense that he would be, quote, contrite.

So that's a bit more of a cynical look on that position. But there's a more, there's a bigger

subtext here. Sam and I know each other for many years. We've communicated many times he wrote to me when he wanted to get in touch with Jordan Peterson and so he wanted me to give him the contact and so on.

He very kindly invited me on his show. We've had dinner together,

we've communicated by email a few times. I've always liked Sam. I've always

respected his work. He's written some wonderful books. He's got a

fantastic podcast with the exception of all the five years of Trump hysteria. I hear he's got a new podcast. I haven't listened to it yet with

Ricky Javert. That's great. So you know he's done a lot of good things so no
