And today we are bringing back to Mormon Stories one of the most influential or important

interviews that we've ever had in our 2000-plus catalog of interviews on Mormon stories.

We're bringing back half of a couple of the Brooke and John McLeigh interview, which actually

occurred 13 years ago, episodes 313 to 316.

Today we have back for sort of a where are they now interview the one, the only

Brooke Lark. Is that, uh, that's it? Is that your name these days? That is my name these

days. Officially. Legally. Oh, brilliant. Yeah. Congratulations. Thank you. And of course we have

Margie with us. Margie, I'm so glad you're here. Yes.

Hi, everyone.

And just to give a tiny bit of context, if you have not seen John and Brooke McLean's interview

from 13 years ago, or if you didn't watch the immediately preceding interview,

I'll just give you a tiny bit of a backstory.

13 years ago, John McClay was a church

education system teacher, seminary and institute teacher for the LDS Church in Colorado Springs,

Colorado. He was married to Brooke, and they had several children, and John McClay lost his Mormon faith as a CES teacher slash institute teacher.

And they reached out to us.

And I believe this was the first video-based in-person couples interview that we ever did on Mormon stories.

If I'm right in my timing, it was around 2011, 2012. And it was such an important interview

for so many reasons. One, because John was newly out of the CES education system.

It was a great story for both of them.
