She is pretty successful, extremely smart, and I can say with complete confidence

that she is the best person I have ever known. Much better than me in every way. I feel lucky

We own a house, share finances, have multiple pets, the whole nine yards.

Recently, I achieved some goals that I have been working towards to make sure we have the opportunity

for a good future, mainly paying off debt and starting my own business. This was the goal for me,

so I could bring our relationship to the next level and get married. We have discussed it in the past lightly, and I fully believed that we both wanted the same

thing. So a few weeks ago, I bought the ring while she was out of town with her father on a trip.

Her parents are pretty conservative, emotionally. They are also immigrants from a less than positive political country in the 90s.

So, although they are a close family, they aren't hugs and I love you close.

They are also pretty successful and divorced.
