Summary

The “Old Way” Of Creating Digital Courses Doesn’t Work. Here’s What’s Replacing It If someone told you digital courses are dead, I get it. I've heard that too. But here’s the truth: the old way of creating digital courses? Yeah, that’s done. But the new way is more powerful, more profitable, and honestly...way more fun!  In this episode, I’m breaking down the shift I’m seeing in the digital course world and sharing why I’m so excited about it. With AI tools everywhere and information at everyone’s fingertips, your audience doesn’t need more content. They need you. Your voice, your story, your guidance. I’ll walk you through exactly what it looks like to create a course that actually improves lives (and yes, makes you money in the process), how to use AI as a tool without losing your magic, and why your point of view is the most valuable asset in your business. If you’ve been sitting on a course idea or wondering how to make your current one stand out in today’s market, this is the episode you didn’t know you needed. HERE ARE THE 3 KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS EPISODE: 1️⃣ People Aren’t Buying Your Course for the Info – Your audience doesn’t want a content dump. They want clarity, a trusted path forward, and someone to help them cut through the noise. (P.S. That’s you!)  2️⃣ Your Point of View Is the Reason They’ll Choose You Over Anyone Else – The most successful courses are rooted in personal experience and perspective. That’s your edge and no AI tool can replicate it. 3️⃣ AI Is a Tool, Not a Voice – When you lead with your stories and lived experience, AI becomes your assistant, not your replacement. Learn how I use it to sharpen my content, not water it down. RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: Slow sales? It’s not time to throw in the towel, it’s time to get strategic. Hey there, welcome to the Amy Porterfield Show.

The more personal you make it, the more experiences you add to it, the more lessons that you've

0:18.1

learned so that your students don't have to learn those same lessons,

0:22.9

those are the courses that are killing it right now, where you take people behind the scenes

0:27.7

and you say, look, here's how I did it. Here's how I got results. And here's exactly what I did.

0:34.6

That is what builds trust. And that's what creates transformation. And most importantly,

0:40.6

that is what AI cannot replicate. The other day, I got a text message from one of my former

0:49.5

employees. And she since left the company and got on to create her own business, which I couldn't be more proud and excited for her. But she sent me a text message and she said, Amy, I'm thinking about adding a digital course to my new business. And I was talking to a girlfriend of mine and she said, oh, digital courses are dead. And she said, Amy, what do you think about that? And I kind of laughed

1:14.5

when I saw the text message because I thought, she's definitely expecting me to send a message

1:21.1

back quickly, being defensive probably saying, no way, that woman's crazy. Don't listen to her.

1:26.6

Digital courses are not dead. She doesn't even

1:28.7

know what she's talking about. But I didn't get defensive. And I didn't jump at saying, no,

1:34.5

she's wrong. Because I do believe that the old model of digital courses is officially dead.

1:42.8

And this is the first time that I've said that, and I want to talk about it

1:46.5

with you today, because the old way that worked really, really well is to take your information,

1:54.5

take your knowledge, and package it up into modules and lessons and get that course out into the world. And your knowledge

2:04.1

and your info that you included in your course was valuable because people needed information.

2:12.2

And so they wanted your information and they wanted it perfectly packaged so that they could

2:17.1

go through your information easily and get the perfectly packaged so that they could go through your

2:17.8

information easily and get the results that you're promising. And for so long, there was nothing

2:23.7

wrong with that. And my students and me included, we have done incredibly well packaging our knowledge

2:32.1

and our information into digital courses that help people get results.
