Hey everybody Rob Mower here and today we have a lot of news to report from Elon Musk.

0:11.6

He was interviewed for the Axel Springer Award earlier today. He talked

0:15.4

about Tesla quite a bit, particularly related to autonomy, Tesla's market cap, and the company's

0:20.4

willingness to partner with other companies.

0:22.5

So we'll go through the summary on that.

0:24.2

We also have another leaked Elon Musk email to go through.

0:26.8

And then some news on the cyber truck, Q4 deliveries,

0:29.6

and battery supply.

0:31.3

Quick look at the stock, Tesla fading a little bit from where it opened today but closing the day up 3%

0:36.3

at $584.76, that compared to the NASDAQ with a pretty strong day up 1.3%. Tesla's volume today quite low, only about 38.7 million shares traded hands.

0:47.0

So that would be the second lowest volume full day of trading that we have had since the S&P announcement.

0:52.0

That volume is right at the one month average and

0:54.4

59% of the last 12 months average. All right so getting into the Elon Musk interview

0:59.6

this was earlier today Elon was accepting the Axel Springer Award, the fifth person to win this award, so he sat down for about a 30 minute chat or so with Axel Springer's CEO.

1:09.2

Overall, I thought it was a really good interview. I'll put the link in the show notes.

1:12.3

A lot of stuff that we have heard before of course but some interesting new insights as well from Elon I think the biggest headline will probably be Elon's comments around autonomous driving

1:20.4

Excel Springer CEO ask quote when is autonomous driving, Axel Springer CEO asks, quote, when is autonomous driving really, really going to happen?

1:26.1

And Elon said, quote, I'm extremely confident of achieving full autonomy and

1:30.3

releasing it to the Tesla customer base next year."

1:33.4

End quote.

1:34.4

So of course we've heard comments like this from Elon in the past and we also have this sort of

1:38.2

convolution going on between full autonomy and Tesla's full self-driving option, as oftentimes Elon will talk with that as a frame of reference and talk about when that option will be feature complete, which is not necessarily full autonomy.
