Hey everybody Rob Mauer here sorry for the late start tonight had some stuff come up

this afternoon that I had to take care of so for those of you that are joining the

live stream thanks for staying up with me appreciate that today we've got quite a

bit of news on Tesla stock record volume day for Tesla for the last year we've got

quite a few comments from Elon on Tesla today as well of course we do have the

China weekly insurance numbers updates on gigaburlin and a few other items as

well so looking at the stock we'll start there obviously a significant

underperformance again for Tesla today down 4.1% closing at a two-year low

unfortunately of $160.95 while the NASDAQ today was up 1% most of the market

reacting positively to the CPI report this morning which we'll talk about

here in a second but starting off with volume we can see significant outlier

for today almost 175 million shares traded that compares to the volume the

average daily volume for the last year of about 82 million so this is about

111% higher than average for comparison sake the NASDAQ's average daily

volume or the NASDAQ's daily volume today was 5% above average so definitely

not live for Tesla today both in terms of the share price performance and in

terms of the volume obviously that has led people to speculate that maybe Elon

Musk is selling personally I don't hold that point of view definitely have been

wrong on that before the last time people kind of assumed Elon oceiling though

that consensus was wrong as well so we never really know I don't think Elon

is selling in this case because like I said he has been talking quite a bit

about Tesla on Twitter today to my recollection during previous periods of
