What's going on guys and welcome back into the Watch Time podcast? We got a lot of very

0:08.6

exciting things to talk about today including a lot of the new e-sports

0:12.2

conversations that have been happening recently,

0:14.0

teams popping up out of nowhere founded by creators, a bunch of drama happening in the

0:18.8

community, Morphe dropping Jeffrey Star, as well as a bunch of other really interesting topics.

0:24.0

Grace, how you doing today?

0:27.0

I'm good, I'm good. It's been, it's a Monday night now here, but it's been a little bit of a hectic weekend we've had a

0:34.8

bunch of campaigns going live over the last few days a few new game titles

0:39.6

releasing which is exciting but generally means for a few sleepless nights as well but that's okay

0:45.3

how are you going? Good good it's been a pretty pretty hectic few days I've actually

0:50.3

really because I feel like you've actually had a chill weekend. Okay I got out of town. actually I did get out of town. I actually like I think for the first time in like eight months probably I wasn't in the office for a space of two days and yeah I went I went spear fishing't really spear any fish, but it was cool.

1:36.3

I didn't the people I was specifically with did though. I mean like look all right. It was literally first time okay it was my first time I can't yeah I can't I can't expect no judgment no judgment

1:48.7

2:03.4

So over the last two weeks, obviously our good friend Laughlin launched his team Power, which is

2:10.4

super cool.

2:11.6

And then just over the past week we saw the start of the 1% Fortnite House or

2:18.4

e-sports team. So that's a group of guys that were previously with luminosity gaming and since left and I think left with a couple of their employees as well and started their own team.

2:30.0

And I think it poses a couple of really interesting questions that I know we talk about really frequently around why creators are starting

2:38.4

E-sports teams when they're not necessarily like professional e-sports players themselves like Laughlin, you know, why they're doing it, what's important about starting an e-sports team and when creators kind of get too big for the orgs that maybe helped them get there,
