On June 28, 2015, a beloved doctor was seen for the last

time alive in a case that saw friendship placed on trial. So if you'd like your coffee hot,

Teresa Severs, 46 years old at the time this story takes place, was a very well-known

holistic medicine physician living in Bonita Springs, Florida, with her husband, Mark Severs,

and their two beautiful daughters.

According to her profile in a local women's magazine in 2015, Teresa was born in Connecticut, was valedictorian of her class,

graduated from medical school in 1996,

and completed her residency at the University of Florida.

According to her sister, she was a, quote,

incredibly gifted, brilliant doctor,

and was so kind that she would not hesitate to give

you the shirt off of her back. In addition to running a holistic medical practice called

Restorative Health and Healing Center with her husband, Teresa was known to wake up at two in the

morning to do evaluations on those who could not otherwise afford medical care.

Everyone loved Teresa, which is why it was so shocking when she seemed to disappear off the face of the planet on June 28, 2015.
