And it's thanks to simply one thing, a better than expected inflation report.

Finally, inflation's still here.

Prices are still rising, but they didn't rise as much as we thought.

So after dropping more than 600 points yesterday, the Dow's surge more than 1,000 points today.

You don't see leaps like that very often.

It happened after that report I was telling you about showing the inflation rate dropping to 7.7% lower than the expected 7.9%. So this is one of those. Wall Street went crazy for something that may be a sign that things are finally starting to soften. We shall see. We'll have more on what happened

here later this hour. But of course, we're going to begin with more of the fallout from the midterms

and where we are full two days removed from election night. We still don't know for sure which

party will control either the House or the Senate in January. That in itself makes these

2022 midterms unprecedented in all the years I the Senate in January. That in itself makes these 2022 midterms unprecedented.

In all the years, I've been professionally covering politics,

first time we've gone this long without knowing our House majority after an election night.

So let's dig into where we stand right now.

The three Senate races that remain up for grabs at this hour,

Georgia is headed to a runoff early next month.

Warnock got to 49.6% of the vote, but he didn't get to 50% plus one.

So we know Georgia's in a runoff, December 6th.

Arizona and Nevada are still counting their ballots.
