1:01.7	politics, the escalating fallout from the bombshell Supreme Court decision overturning
1:06.8	Roe v Wade.
1:08.5	Across the country, demonstrators took to the streets over the weekend as a number of
1:11.9	states immediately began rolling back access to abortions in the wake of that ruling.
1:17.9	Today, Mississippi's Attorney General formally certified that state's trigger law banning
1:22.8	the procedure beginning in 10 days.
1:25.6	That leaves the state's 15-week ban in effect for that limited period of time.
1:30.5	Right now, new bans or restrictions on abortion are in effect in roughly a dozen states.
1:38.4	Meanwhile, Democratic lawmakers have begun ramping up pressure on President Biden.
1:42.6	They're urging him to take every action that he can to blunt the impact of the ruling,
1:47.5	even as the White House's options are limited.
1:49.8	More than 30 Senate Democrats have now signed on a letter demanding the White House take
