The focus of this one was Trump's pressure campaign on Mike Pence in order to overturn the election.

The hearing was essentially divided up into two parts.

First was the White House's pressure campaign on Vice President Pence to somehow accept the analysis

that he had the power to overturn the results of the election,

using a theory they themselves knew was unconstitutional.

The committee presented a barrage of evidence that the vice president had no power to overturn the election, that the vice president never believed he had that power, and that Trump

The second part of the hearing laid out more of the danger Pence was in on January 6th when

suspend the counting of the votes in order to allow more time to overturn the election.

In the first part of the hearing, we also heard that both Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman

admitted that their legal theory was bogus and wouldn't hold up in a court.

And yet they both continued to promote it.

Eastman was dismissive about what the dire consequences could be.
