I'm Chuck Todd reporting in Washington,

where President Biden this afternoon delivered his most extensive remarks yet

on the decision he made to take down high altitude objects in U.S. airspace in recent days,

which began, of course, with the infamous Chinese spy balloon. In his remarks, the president

defended his handling of these incidents, while also acknowledging that the U.S. intelligence

community's assessment that the three most recent

object shot out of the sky were probably balloons tied to private companies or research

institutions, and not related to China spy balloon program, and certainly not a threat to the
