Welcome to this week's episode of the Money Tree Investing podcast. Today our guest is Annie Wyatt from CrowdInvest. We are going to talk about investing according to the wisdom of the crowds.

0:22.2

Welcome to the show, Annie. Thank you for having me. Let's just jump right in here. What is

0:27.1

crowd investing? What is using the wisdom of the crowds to invest? So crowd invest, we have three

0:32.6

products, we would say, under our portfolio. We have an app where people vote on stocks, they believe to be

0:38.3

bullish or bearish. And then that app builds an index. So the 35 most voted on stocks through

0:45.0

bullish sediment, we build an index out of. And now that index is powering an ETF, which is traded

0:51.0

on the New York Stock Exchange. So the umbrella behind, or I guess above all of

0:55.8

this, is wisdom of the crowd theory, which states that independent and diverse individuals

1:30.0

how can the average investor take advantage of this kind of wisdom of the crowds?

1:34.1

Is there a way to do this?

1:36.1

There is, and that's kind of the grassroots level of our product, and that's through the app.

1:41.0

So actually, when you vote on a particular stock, immediately after, if you state it's bullish, you long or short the app. So actually, when you vote on a particular stock, immediately after if you state

1:45.4

it's bullish or verish, you long or short the stock, you see real-time opinion on what the crowd

1:51.6

says. So say you vote that you think Apple is going to be bullish. You will then, a screen will pop up,

1:56.6

and it will show you how much of the crowd has voted through bullish sentiment on Apple and what time

2:01.6

period they have. So you get that immediate reward of knowing kind of where you compare to the crowd,

2:05.9

which we think is pretty cool. As far as investing goes like in a portfolio, is this something
