This may seem just a little bit odd, but Mount Rushmore is on my mind.

And that's an odd topic for a podcast in the

middle of November I know, is it's not really travel season to Mount Rushmore. There's no

historical presidential holiday to talk about on this particular day. But Mount Rushmore is all

I've thought about for the last, well, not quite 24 hours or so, when I was trying to build a theme and a lead for

today's podcast. So Mount Rushmore, it is. We all know about Mount Rushmore. We know that the

great conservatives and Republicans of our republic's history, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln,

and Teddy Roosevelt are on Mount Rushmore. And I guess we could ask the question if this thing goes as well

as we think with Donald Trump completely reshaping and remaking America into what she was born to be,

but has become something else. Maybe Trump fits on Mount Rushmore. Now that would get scoffed and

laughed, laughed at, but Nancy Pelosi tossed Joe Biden's name out there from Mount Rushmore.

I can certainly toss Donald Trump's name out there from Mount Rushmore. I can certainly

toss Donald Trump's name out there, but that's not where I'm going with this. We'll save Trump

in all of the news the day for the second part of the podcast as we begin with sports today.

And for my entire career in television, then radio, and now podcasting, covering sports, people to ask me a million

times, what is the Mount Rushmore of Kansas City sports? And for the most part, everyone seemed

to be in agreement for decades that it involved George Brett, Len Dawson, and Tom Watson.

We could argue over the fourth. We could try to figure out where we're

going after that. Many people would say Buck O'Neill as a pioneer and other names would pop up.

And we can think about adding names to that now, and certainly Patrick Mahomes is the one that seems
