The American economy, the mystery of the recession long predicted by the best minds on Wall

Street, at the Federal Reserve, the economists coast to coast, a prediction of a recession.

Not upsetting, small business, large business, everyone's prepared.

But I welcome this peak, writing a column at the Hill, a column at Fox News, much on Fox

Business.

We've been talking for some weeks.

We don't have anything fresh other than to say the recession that's predicted is not

here.

The most recent check box that I saw on this was Federal Reserve restating that they're expecting

a mild recession.

That modifier is new.

So Liz, a very good evening to mild recession.

Does that mean we won't notice?

Does that mean the Atlanta Fed will not print a negative number?

We'll just feel it in our bones.

Well, Janet Yellen doubled down on that too, saying the recession was not off the table.

It is amazing that this recession has been anticipated really since what the second quarter

of this year, to your point still has not materialized, but still is anticipated.

Why?
