To comment on the economy, watching data coming in monthly, CPI and PPI, the employment

numbers, the unemployment numbers, watching as the Federal Reserve watches, we're told

the story is that the Federal Reserve after 12 rehikes over the last year paused again in

September, and the question is, will it pause again for the final two meetings of this

year, November and December?

There is a proverb that says the Federal Reserve reads the headlines and is extremely reluctant

to act during an election year, that would be January of 24.

Mr. McTagg knows all this.

I'm just prepping us to deliver the quandary to Mr. McTagg.

Jim, the date of this week was neither this nor that, on the one hand, on the other hand,

the PPI and the CPI.

I get lost in core this and core that.

There was a funny moment where an esteemed economist for the New York Times published an inflation

chart that showed it declining because he'd absented housing and used cars, two of the drivers

for inflation in America.

I suppose if we absented everything, we'd have zero inflation.

That's a good idea.

But Jim, the markets can't decide.

Was that a good print we had this week?
