Ducky, Bravo. And we are going to review a series that I slipped and fell into. It's called

North and South. And then we are going to review a movie called Dracula, a love tale.

Now, I haven't seen it in its entirety. It hasn't been released in America yet,

but it has been released in France and other countries. So I've seen a ton of clips from people being so excited about it. They were sharing it online. I've read a ton about it. And in reading about it, I found out more about it. So we're going to close with that because it's a doozy. And if you're asked me yourself, hey, I thought this probably was going to come out over the weekend. Oh, it was supposed to. A man ruined that plan. It turned into a deep dive. You'll see. So let's start with North and South. It is a four-part BBC miniseries that came out in 2004. And for some reason, I just never heard about it until this week. I was so completely oblivious to it that a little preview of it came up as I'm

and it said, North and South, and a Southern Bell moves to whatever. And I was like, oh,

this is about the South? Is this that mini-series that came out in the 80s with Patrick Swayze?

But my husband chimed in, and He's like, no, in England,

they call it the north and the south as well. So we start playing it. And yes, it is set in England.

It is a fantastic story. It's a slow burn. Okay. I described it in the last pot as it is a slow burn

that hits you in the end, like a roundhouse to your head. I'm talking. I was pacing and yelling

during the last like 20, 30 minutes of the show. And now that I've watched it and researched it,

I see why I never heard of it, because it really is sort of like a diamond in the rough.

This was a sleeper hit for BBC. They did not expect this to do well. It did not air on

masterpiece theater like a lot of their other shows do. They had low expectations for it,

but what I've been reading is that they were shocked when the day that it aired, their message

board shut down because the number of visitors was so high. People loved it. This is a fan favorite that just didn't

win any awards. It just kind of like went through the process. It only got one BAFTA nomination,

but that was for production design. But every year, the BBC has like a poll on their website,

and North and South in 2004 was voted Best Drama. The lead man, we'll talk about him in a minute,
