Liquid Sky

One of the first films to explicitly depict and discuss pansexuality, and

genderqueerness in any substantial way. It is also an essay on toxic masculinity, ingrained

homophobia and the ingrained misogyny of both over-ground and underground culture.

The films hyper-styled, neon-soaked aesthetic, and aggressively bizarre, completely electronic score,

has continued to influence fashion, music, and pop culture in general since initial release in

1983.

Oh, and on top of all that, it's a science fiction picture.

And the male and female leads are played by the same person, queer icon Anne Carlyle,

who joins myself and James St. James
