Hello, everybody. This is Jennifer Matarise, and this is a movie break episode of Disaster

Area. I may have skipped over the last movie break and gone directly from one regular

episode to another. You may have noticed if you're a regular listener, because I just kind of

didn't feel like I needed

the mental health vacation that a movie break entails. So I just kind of went from one

to the next and figured I would save my movie break episode the next one just in case of emergency.

I could just put it in a little box, a glass box, you know,, just in case of emergency. I could just put it in a little box,

a little glass box, you know, like break in case of emergency, break this glass and use this

movie break. And so this week happened. And when I say happened, I mean, it happened.

And I realized I really need to get drunk and watch a disaster movie.

So, that's what we're doing this week.

We're watching Airplane versus Volcano.

As you can tell by the title, it needs work.

Airplane versus a volcano is a lot like, as a title at least, is a lot like snakes on a plane. It's a movie where you know they came up with the title first. I mean, with snakes on a plane, you know they actually came up with the title first because they said as much. They came up with the title, and then they decided, we could actually make money off that and then they decided to make the movie. Um, with Airplane versus Volcano,

they made that title first. Um, you know, that's like Shark Nito. You know, somebody was sitting

around, really wasted one day and said, you know what we should do. We should take a twister. We should, we should, we should, we should take a twister we should we should we should we should take a jaws DVD we should take a twister DVD

and we should put peanut butter between them and make sandwich and that's sort of what they did

with this movie where we have a title like airplane versus volcano We have an airport, an airplane DVD, like the comedy.

We have that DVD, and we have Volcano, the shitty Tommy Lee Jones movie.

And what we're going to do is put peanut butter on them and stick them together in a terrible terrible sandwich so that's what we

have here we have airplane versus volcano now every versus volcano is a very bad movie obviously

very bad disaster movie and even when bad disaster movies are bad they still usually have like
