In America, on this upcoming Sunday,

we will celebrate our moms.

Exodus 12, or Exodus 20, verse 12, lists the fifth of the Ten Commandments.

Honor your father and mother that your days may be long in the land that the Lord

your God is giving you.

Ephesians 2, 6, 2 and 3 echoes the commandment.

This is the first commandment with a promise,

that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.
