Today is Elizabeth Montgomery's

She was born on this day 89 years ago.

She passed away back in 1995, but Elizabeth Montgomery will be known to many

of you as Samantha on the television show bewitched.

Now, it says a lot about that program.

I looked up, I remember watching a bewitched episode in black and white and I thought well then

that means it wasn't running live I was born born in 70. So my memories of Bewitched would start at the earliest

at 75 in 75 or 76, more likely 78 or so, 8 years old.

So I went and looked it up,

bewitched aired on ABC from 1964 to 1972.

And like much of my favorite, many of my favorites and most of my most beloved

television shows that I enjoyed watching in the mid to late 70s and even early 80s had actually been filmed

before I was born.

Which is fascinating if you think of it because it means that the stuff I enjoy

because it was played on delay of 10 to 20 years is also the stuff that my parents

enjoy or at least people older than me enjoyed.

And that doesn't happen any longer.

Kids today, I don't believe, grow up watching. I don't believe they grow up watching the same things that their parents did, but I did.

Sunday mornings I watched Rawhide with Cleniuswood, which was quite old by the late 70s.

Before we left for church, I got up and I watched Rawhide and I watched the Lone Ranger and the
