Summary

Garret Price and Andrew Mott break down the most disappointing dynasty fantasy football players of 2025, covering one player at each position who failed to meet expectations. With the fantasy playoffs just one week away, the hosts analyze which assets let managers down and whether any of these fallers represent buy low opportunities heading into the offseason. Listen to This Episode: 🎧 Apple Podcasts 🎙️ Spotify ▶️ YouTube Lamar Jackson leads the quarterback disappointments at QB18 on the year, averaging just 17.6 fantasy points per game. Andrew highlights how Jackson sits in the same scoring bucket as Trevor Lawrence, Brock Purdy, and Jacoby Brissett, producing just 9.5 points per game over the last month with one touchdown and three interceptions. The lack of rushing production raises long term concerns as Jackson approaches 30 years old. Michael Penix ranks as the QB29 in points per game at just 13.7, barely ahead of Aaron Rodgers and Bryce Young. Garret expected a step forward in year two with elite supporting talent in Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, but the Falcons quarterback regressed while the team collapsed to a possible top five pick without owning their first rounder. Isaiah Pacheco disappointed at RB52 despite landing in Kansas City's elite offense. Andrew went against the grain buying Pacheco everywhere, only to watch him average 7.3 points per game while Kareem Hunt dominated with 48 percent of snaps and an 8 to 2 touchdown advantage. Kenneth Walker averaged just 11.2 points per game despite playing in the most run heavy offense in the NFL, with goal line work mysteriously disappearing in a frustrating committee with Zach Charbonnet. Brian Thomas Jr sits at WR50 after leading the NFL with nine drops and receiving just one designed target all season. The back half breakout with Mac Jones under center never materialized with Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cohen, averaging just 10 points per game with one touchdown. Marvin Harrison Jr ranks WR28 in points per game at 12.5, producing high end WR3 numbers instead of the elite ceiling dynasty managers expected from the highest graded prospect Garret has ever evaluated. TJ Hockenson posted his lowest points per game total since his rookie year at 7.7, ranking as TE21 despite top 12 designed target share. Andrew argues the Vikings offensive collapse makes Hockenson a buy low candidate for 2026. David Njoku averaged just 7.2 points per game as TE26 after Garret projected potential top three upside, with Harold Fannin Jr splitting targets in Cleveland's quarterback disaster. Welcome back into the Dynasty Nerds podcast. I am your host, Garrett Price, here with Andrew.

0:05.8

My, Andrew, how are you doing, man? Doing good, man. Look, we are one week away from the fantasy

0:11.0

playoffs, and I feel like I got a lot of teams that got a shot this year. So I'm pretty excited

0:15.1

going into the last week here. Yeah, I am too. It's something that I might even do like a

0:20.4

video on or something, but this year was probably the year that I was the most rigid on like I will not be stuck in the middle.

0:30.1

Like I am either going to truly be all in or I'm going to truly be all out.

0:35.3

And it's really paid dividends.

0:37.0

Like I really don't have any teams that are in sixth, seventh type place.

0:44.0

It's all either, you know, I'm 11 and 2 or, you know,

0:49.3

or would or would it be, yeah, 11 and 2.

0:51.3

Or I am, you know, 2 and 11 11 like almost all my teams are like that this year

0:57.5

where it's I'm either a top three team in my league or I'm a bottom three team and I'm not

1:02.2

really playing the in-between game at all there there is one league where I'm kind of on like the come

1:08.2

out of a rebuild where it kind of ended up right there.

1:11.5

But other than that, like I really put a like more hard line in the sand of man,

1:16.7

I'm either in or out. And so it is going to be a fun year to kind of see how all of these

1:21.4

teams end up playing out and hopefully it'll be worth it. Yeah, I think I have one team too that

1:26.0

was kind of like yours where it's like I'm in year two of the rebuild and it felt like the team was starting to get some momentum. And I kind of pulled it back and was like, let's miss the playoffs one more year. So I think I'm the first team out of the playoffs this year. But I've kind of pulled that one back. And I decided to do that after that after jaden dan who's my starting quarterback, got hurt. And I was like, you know what? Let's just pull this back, sell a guy like Khalil Shakir, sell a guy like somebody else, and just, you know, maybe miss the playoffs just a little bit. There you go. There you go. All right. Well, speaking of missing the playoffs, we're going to talk about some of our most disappointing players this year.

2:02.4

And chances are if you have a lot of these guys in your team, you did in fact miss the playoffs because for one reason or another, these players really, really let us down.

2:12.4

And some of them more on a macro scale.

2:15.1

Some of us may be a little bit more on a micro scale where we might have

2:18.6

been a little more invested in this player than maybe the general community, but these players
