Hello and welcome back to Scripture Central. I'm Lynn Hilton Wilson, this is Jack Welch.

We're so excited to talk about Mosaic chapter 7 through 10 today. And King Mosiah, the second, is on the throne.

We hear a little bit about him, and then we have an expedition of a group that leaves Zarahemla and goes down to find the land of their first inheritance.

There's been a small little group, actually it's not too small by now because it's been a generation or two

that they've been living there and we hear their account.

It's very exciting as if a book goes and little flashbacks back and forth.

We go down to the small colony or this area

of first inheritance. I think this is much more historical, but there's some real gems in this

area of chapter 7 through 10. Yeah, and a lot of kind of things that they're trying out,

entering into contracts and alliances with people and

things not coming out the way they were supposed to. I think the theme is deliverance.

Deliverance by God's hand works better than your own way. This is a difficult little section.

These chapters that we're talking about this week are a bridge between King Benjamin,

which is all pretty clear and straightforward and lots of wonderful material as we spoke about last week.

But then through these next couple chapters, it gets a little bit murky and unclear exactly who is where and when.

My point is that the bridge between King Benjamin and Abinidae is a little hard to follow.

And so as you read and as you study this, be patient with it.

It will reward some very interesting lessons.

And also, I think we have to realize that part of the problem here

is that many of the details about King Mosaic the first,

Benjamin's father. Yeah. Okay. And remember that Xenuf and his group that leaves under the reign of

Mosiah the first. So this is 50 years before Benjamin or something.
