Guaranteed Human. Morning Run with Amy and T.J. An I-Heart Radio podcast. Good morning, everyone. And welcome to Morning Run. It is Thursday, January 8th. I'm Amy Robo. And I'm T.J. Holmes, much different. Look, to New York today, the fog has lifted. We are going to get almost spring like in New York today. Isn't that what they told? Yes, and it's all relative because other

parts of the country would be laughing at us. We're jumping for joy because we're going to hit

0:31.4

50 degrees. Yeah, it's been, feels like 10 for the last couple of weeks. So, yes, everyone, it's funny. If you go to L.A. and it's 50, people are in winter coats with gloves and hats. You come to New York City when it's 50 and people have tank tops on. Hey. It's all relative, as you say. Wherever you all may be, hope you are having a good start to your day. On the run this morning, you mentioned Los Angeles. Yes, Los Angeles will be one of the legs of our run this morning. We'll also make stops to the house floor in D.C., Salt Lake City, as well as Corpus, Christi, Texas, and Pittsburgh. But the first leg of our run, as you could guess, we have to begin in Minneapolis.

That's right, where that woman who was shot and killed by an ICE agent yesterday has now been

1:17.1

identified. She is a 37-year-old mother. She is an American citizen. She is a Twin City resident,

1:23.9

and her name is Renee Nicole Good. Crowds gathered last night around a vigil that

1:29.9

popped up at the scene. In fact, we're told thousands of people showed up in just a few block

1:35.1

radius, but it was peaceful and they were remembering good. But meanwhile, there are two very

1:43.0

different narratives that are playing out over that video that we've all seen with our own two eyes and yet so many opinions.

1:50.9

We've all seen the same thing, but a different opinion about what we are seeing. Those two different opinions are coming from, yes, the administration and from Democratic, let's say Democratic leaders in Minnesota. First off, Kristian Hone,

2:02.2

Department of Homeland Security, they reiterated their stance yesterday that the woman is,

2:06.6

and I'm quoting them, domestic terrorists who threatened the agents with a weapon, which was her car.

2:12.6

Meanwhile, Minnesota officials, in particular the governor, and the mayor of Minnesota,

2:17.4

Minneapolis, I should say,

2:18.6

has some very strong words. At least the mayor did. You have heard and seen that everywhere,

2:23.0

the profanity he used telling ICE to get out. Also saying it's BS, the video that you're seeing

2:28.7

in the narrative from the other side. But the governor there, we gave him credit. Governor Walts

2:32.7

calls for everybody to please, stay calm, go protest if you'd like to, but don't give the administration a reason to come in here and use violent tactics, if you will. So they did make it through the evening. It were vigils and protests, as you mentioned, Rose, but for the most part in Minneapolis and around the country,

2:51.6

other cities, it was peaceful. And that was certainly a relief. All right, next up on the run.

2:56.0

There was a deadly mass shooting last night. It happened outside of a chapel where a funeral

3:00.6

was taking place. So two people were killed, six others wounded, and a manhunt is underway as of this recording.
