Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I am one of your

host for today, John Delinn. It's April 3rd, 2024 and today, maybe a little bit late from

the breaking news. We've had a lot going on here at

Mormon Story Studio, but we're here to cover today a little bit about Ruby

Frankie's Mormon Journal and for those of you who have not been paying attention to the Mormon

News Ruby Frankie was a Mormon mom

youtuber who had a YouTube channel called Eight Passengers where she and her

husband Kevin and their six kids, you know, gained millions of followers

kind of YouTube being their Mormon lives.

And at some point people started feeling like Ruby was getting too strict with their kids.

And then at some point people started notifying me that Ruby and Kevin had connected with this therapist Jody Hildebrandt and

mayhem started happening which culminated in Ruby and Jody being arrested

for multiple counts of felony child abuse.

They've been in prison for many, many months.

Lately, they've pled guilty,

and we're just sort of awaiting sentencing.

But recently, a lot of audio and video and

textual evidence was released. I think in anticipation for the sentencing honestly, but there was a flurry of YouTube and

podcast content talking about, you know, Kevin's recorded police conversations,

about, you know, the camera shot of the police arresting Jody,

of the inside of Jody and Ruby's houses and even police conversations

between Ruby and people and Jody and people, just all sorts of really interesting content that's been released.
