| 0:00.0 | Hi everyone, this is John Dillen with a very brief announcement. I'd like to announce |
| 0:04.0 | upcoming retreat. The retreat is called healing and growth after an LDS crisis of faith. |
| 0:10.6 | It's going to be October 23rd through 25th in Park City, Utah. We're hoping that anyone who has |
| 0:18.0 | lost an LDS faith and who's looking to rebuild, happy and a healthy life, that's sort of who we're |
| 0:23.6 | targeting the retreat for. Couples or singles are welcome. The purposes of the retreat are as follows. |
| 0:29.9 | We want to provide tips on healing and thriving after a loss of LDS faith. |
| 0:34.6 | Major topics include how to healthily process LDS-related anger and trauma, |
| 0:40.8 | how to rebuild identity, morality, mental health, and meaning and purpose. After losing your LDS |
| 0:46.3 | faith, healthy communication with believing family and friends, how to strengthen marriages and |
| 0:51.8 | raise children after a loss of LDS faith, rebuilding friendships and community, and finally finding joy |
| 0:58.4 | meaning and fulfillment, again after you've lost your LDS faith. As a secondary goal, we also hope |
| 1:04.4 | that those who attend will build relationships and community with each other, and that hopefully |
| 1:09.2 | some lifelong friendships will emerge as a result of this retreat. The suggested donation for the |
| 1:15.4 | retreat is $350 per person, $700 per couple. However, that's just what we feel it's worth for people |
| 1:23.4 | who are able to afford that amount. We know that for many that might be a lot of money. That's |
| 1:28.4 | totally fine. We have also made a limited number of scholarships available based on need. So if you |
| 1:34.8 | really want to come, you can't afford that amount. Just email us at MormonTransitions at gmail.com, |
| 1:41.1 | tell us about your need, and we will do all we can to make it so that you attend. We want people to |
| 1:45.7 | be able to be able to attend this retreat, but we also need to recoup expenses, and most importantly, |
| 1:51.6 | all proceeds from this retreat are going to go to the Mormon Transitions Organization or movement. |
| 1:59.2 | We're going to spend the next few decades supporting Mormons in transition, and that's where this |
| 2:04.2 | money goes. To reserve your spot, check out MormonTransitions.org slash retreat. That's where you can register, |
