New York City is handing out 500 Apple Air Tag trackers to people for free and for nothing to put on their cars.

They've had so many car thefts.

As of last week, they'd had 4,500 car thefts in New York City skyrocketing.

And so the solution, Mayor Adams, joined by police officials at a press conference, announced that with some donations from private folks and all they're going to give out 500 Apple Air Tag trackers

so people can stick them on their car somewhere hidden.

And when their car gets stolen, theoretically call the cops and say, yeah, my car's at 143rd and oak can you go get it

please and theoretically the cops are going to go I got to believe that the era of rampant

car thefts is going to be coming to a close soon between the air tags and so i got this thing for my kids

quad that is a step beyond so the air tags i don't know if you know how they work them but they

ping off of other people's apple products the apple air tags so you have to have apple products around

because iPhones are so ubiquitous it's most of the time not a problem.

There's plenty iPhones around.
