And we knew that there would be more coming out of Letcher County, Kentucky.

The whole story is still not out there, but we have a little bit more information since the Letcher County Sheriff stood before the court in his preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

Now, I brought you this story back on the September 23rd episode of Rise and Crime and in that episode I gave you the information that was being reported

But I also hinted that online rumors were circulating wildly.

It now seems that some of those rumors had a little bit of validity.

So here's your reminder about details from the shooting on September 19th that left Kentucky Judge Kevin

Mullins dead and Sheriff Sean Mickey Stein's arrested and charged with

murder. Mickey and Judge Molens were longtime friends.

Before being elected as sheriff in 2018,

Mickey served as Judge Molens Bailiff.

And even without that connection,

it would have been hard to not be friends in this very small
