earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Columbia University, and then earned his

law degree from George Washington University. From 1991 to 1993, while still in his early

forties, Mr. Barr served as Attorney General of the United States under President George H.

W. Bush. Just over a quarter of a century later, he returned to the Department of Justice

reluctantly, as we will see, to serve from 2019 to 2020 as Attorney General for President
