This is New Year's Eve and I'm here with two very special people who are at the heart of Rosebud.

One is my producer and friend Harriet Jane. Happy New Year, Harriet. Oh, thanks, Giles. Happy New Year to you for tomorrow.

Do you have New Year traditions in your family? What do you do on the New Year's Eve?

We'll probably have a bit of a party. Yes, I may be going to a friend's house. We'll do some dancing. We always stay up till midnight.

When you say you do dancing, in sort of in the living room, in the sitting room, you sort of

jig around, is that how it works?

Yep, put some music on, turn it up loud, or have a bit of a shindig, yes, yeah.

And you've got teenage daughters, will they be there too?

They'll be there, yeah, and they might bring some friends over, or they might go out and then they might come back, and it'll be chaos, essentially.

And will it be happy?

Very, very happy.

I tell you what makes me happy, week in, week out, and this is not an exaggeration, the little boost that I get from listening to our signature tune.

I love it, and there's lots of research that shows that music can instantly make people

feel happy. And we've got another member of our team here today. And I'd like you to introduce

the person who provides that moment of happiness in the beginning of every episode of Rosebud
