We are going over the final January 6th Committee hearing of the summer with

Professor and author of the oath in the office,

Corey, thank you so much for staying up late.

I didn't think they'd go this late in the hearings.

Yeah, well I mean there was an intense amount to get through and I'm glad they took their time actually I think you don't want to

rush you know for now the concluding argument and they were you know bringing evidence they always

have at the end just some punch that

that's kind of shocking and even despite we've heard and I put the Bannon

punch at the end you really just an outright confession that this was made up.

From the beginning, of course we know it's made up, but the claim about our election

fraud, but to hear about and say it, in such plain and public ways so brazenly.

I thought that was very powerful.

One thing I didn't mention that I don't want to lose is to me there was a really important detail of the hearing today that shows how vulnerability, how vulnerable the democracy that we live in is and how particularly vulnerable it was on January 6th.

And that was the moment when we realized Mike Pence

is making all the calls that Trump is refusing.

Right.

Stop this thing.

He wants it to continue obviously, and is absolutely refusing sitting
