Hello and welcome back to the scriptures are real. We're picking back up with our study yesterday from Exodus 2, or excuse me, the book of Exodus.

0:24.4

We started off Exodus 1 yesterday and we also finished up Genesis 50, but now we're going to jump into chapter 2 and see how far we can get today and see if we can follow along with the Come Follow Me Reading.

0:37.9

So, are you ready for this, Carrie?

0:39.4

I'm always excited for Exodus.

0:42.9

So yesterday when we were talking, we just got into the beginning of Exodus

0:46.3

where we learned about Egypt and now in the span of some period of time,

0:51.0

we don't know what.

0:51.6

1:31.3

this theme of deliverance that we were talking about. So if you, what we talked about last time is

1:37.0

that in chapter one, you see immediately after they were enslaved that God is, does small forms of deliverance before the big

1:45.9

deliverance, right? And so deliverance is one of the huge themes of the book of Exodus,

1:51.1

which makes good sense. It's about delivering the children of Israel. But you see that these

1:55.9

midwives delivering, and we did a play on words, but anyway, delivering these children that are

2:00.6

supposed to die.

2:02.0

And then chapter two starts with the same thing where now the king has kind of circumvented

2:07.6

the midwives and is making sure that male children are being killed.
