But I guess the big part of that story, though, wasn't what they offered.

It was what the Nets countered with.

We now know the price.

We know what the Celtics have to give them in order for them, or at least what they, without any negotiating. If you just want to do this, done. The price right now, according to the Nets, is Jalen Brown, Marcus Smart, draft picks, and potentially one more rotation player. Do I believe that they can make the trade without throwing in that rotation player? Absolutely. I think that what they want is they want those two guys. This has been what all along the nets have been asking for. They wanted two all-star caliber players. What you're getting is, you know, a guy who's been an all-star,

last year, right? He missed it this year. So he's been an all-star. And on top of that, he,

you've got the defensive player of the year. That's basically the same thing. And they wanted the first round picks, which sounds like the Celtics are able to throw in three of those right now. And so it's there, right there. For the taking, the price is set. We've all talked about it. The three of us agree that if that's the price, especially now that Malcolm Brogden's here, I think you make that deal. There's a ton of people on Twitter and social media who are screaming, no, you can't do it. And I just want to know why. Like, why wouldn't you make that deal as constituted to get Kevin Durant for another four years,

because that's what he's locked in for over that time.
