Eve. I just said it. On the last ep, I told you about the first couple movies I saw at

Buttonamathon in Austin, Texas.

Movie number three was a foreign animated film that was started in 1948 and got finished around 1980 called The King and the Mockingbird.

While many in attendance seem to admire the artwork, the story, complete with subtitles,

it just didn't compel me.

I tried to nap during it, you know, trying to save my energy for late night and early morning films,

but I was just too pumped after Kingsman, the Secret Service, to take a nap anytime soon.

Movie number four, inherent vice. Or as Jeff Tate said on Douglas movies last night,

incoherent vice. I like parts of it a lot, but Paul Thomas Anderson has really grown as a

filmmaker in ways that don't please this huge fan of his first three movies.

You know, you got to admire what he's doing.

I just haven't enjoyed his last three films.

Joaquin Phoenix is great in it, though, and I would not mind if he snagged an Oscar

nomination for it.

Next up was movie number five.
