We've got the F-35 still being rolled out

in a superior aircraft.

Well, good evening, John, and hello Gordon.

Thank you for having me again.

Yeah, the Air Force, because they cut the F-22 prematurely in 2009 the F-22 was supposed to sort of be

the partner plane to the F-35 the F-22 was an air superiority air-to-air type combat vehicle.

The Air Force immediately went to work on basically developing a replacement for the F-35,

and that's the next generation

in every way. It's new stealth technology, new propulsion system,

and it's also going to be augmented by a series of unmanned aerial vehicles that will fly with it into battle.

The problem is, as you know, the defense industry tends to have lots of cost overruns and major delays with their rollout

especially with advanced technology like this and so my concern is that as we enter the 2030s we are going to be increasingly in a

contested world with near peer rivals. We can't wait around for this next
