John, this is the case of a continuing string of Russian failures when it comes to planetary

travel.

I actually need to go back and look, but I'm trying to figure out when the Russians themselves

had their last successful interplanetary mission, and it could be decades.

I just can't think of the last one that succeeded.

Every launch they had has had a failure for years.

They don't get into orbit or they fail in orbit or they fail on the way.

Something's going wrong.

This is a strategy for the Russian engineers and scientists to want to do this stuff.

Luna 25 was in orbit around the moon.

They were making their last orbital adjustment before they would fire the engines to attempt

the landing for August 21st.
