Hello. We have a very exciting day to day. I'm going to be talking about a game that I've

played since my very youth and that game is called Monopoly. We're going to be exploring the hidden

histories of Monopoly, things you probably didn't know about the classic Parker Brothers game.

I've never heard Monopoly and exciting in the same sentence in a positive way.

It's going to be a challenge to turn me, Russ.

In hindsight, I don't know that anyone, quote, likes Monopoly.

They sort of tolerate Monopoly, but everyone's very familiar with it.

I feel like it has very intrinsic attitudes towards it, right?

Like, people have strong feelings about it.

Sure.

I don't want to be, like, that guy.

Like, but, but I'm like something of an expert on the topic oh are you are you if like if you're

like saying things that are like wrong sure just don't be surprised when I'm like uh that's not

right that's good we're here for you to challenge me so that's very important a few things we're

going to go over obviously the origins of the game where it came from we're also going to talk

about the current state of the game weird changes to the board that have been made over the years

and other versions of course and we're going to end with some cultural impact of monopoly, maybe in areas that you might

know, like the origins of the McDonald's Monopoly game.
